●  Luka Modric started his professional football career with Croatia U15 national team in 2001. In 2003, he was signed by Croatian football club named Dinamo Zagreb. He is one of the top rated midfielder in the world.

●  Modric spent 5 years in Dinamo and scored 33 goals in 128 matches while playing as a midfielder. He played brilliantly and helped his club in winning three Croatian First League in 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08. He also won two Croatian Cups in 2006-07 and 2007-08 and one Croatian Super Cup in 2006 with Dinamo.

●  His career got a boost in 2008 when he was signed by Tottenham Hotspur. Club signed him with a transfer fee of £16.5 million. Modric played 159 matches for Tottenham in four seasons and scored 17 goals.

●  In 2012, he earned the attention of Real Madrid due to his outstanding mid-fielding skills. Real Madrid signed a transfer deal with Tottenham to bring Modric to Spain. He signed a five year contract with Los Blancos.

●  In last eight years at Real Madrid, Modric has scored 18 goals in 308 matches. He has also won four UEFA Champions League titles (2013-14, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18), four FIFA Club world Cups (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018), three UEFA Super Cup (2014, 2016, 2017), two Spanish Super Cup (2012, 2017) and one La Liga title (2016-17) with Madrid.

●  Modric has earned 126 international caps and scored 16 goals. He played brilliantly in the FIFA World Cup 2018. Croatia reached in the final of the world cup due to his outstanding game.

●   2018 was the lucky year for him. He won Ballon d’Or, The Best FIFA Men’s Player award, World Soccer Player of the Year award, UEFA Men’s Player of the year award and UEFA Midfielder of the year award in 2018. He was awarded FIFA World Cup Golden Ball in 2018. He was named Croatian footballer of the year 7 times in last 11 years.
