●  Michael Owen started his professional football career back in 1996 with English football club Liverpool. His father Terry Owen was also a professional football player. Michael Owen earned his first national cap for England in 1998.

●  Owen spent most of his career in Liverpool and scored 158 goals in 297 appearances. He won UEFA Super Cup title, FA Community Shield and FA Cup in 2001 with Liverpool. He also played an important role in winning Football League Cups for The Reds in 2001 and 2003.

●  He left Liverpool to join Real Madrid in 2004 but the move was not successful for Owen. He remained a substitute during the whole season. He scored 13 goals in 45 matches. Owen could not survive at Real Madrid and moved back to England. He joined Newcastle United on a four years deal.

●  Owen scored 30 goals in 79 appearances for The Magpies. In 2009, Manchester United brought him as a replacement of Cristiano Ronaldo but in three years of stay, Owen remained on bench in most of the matches and he could only scored 5 goals in 31 matches.

●  He won one Premier League title in 2010-11, one FA Community Shield and Football League Cup in 2010 with Manchester United.

●  Owen was the winner of Ballon d’Or and World Soccer World Player of the Year in 2001. He was awarded two consecutive Premier League Golden Boots in 1997–98 and 1998–99. After 17 years of successful career he got retirement from professional football in 2013.
