●  Michel Platini is one of the greatest football player in the history of Football. He started his professional career in 1972 with Nancy. During 7 years of stay at Nancy, he played 213 matches and scored 127 goals for the French club. He also won Coupe de France in 1977–78 with Nancy.

●  Platini served in the French Military in 1975. Soon he got attention of the national team selectors and he was selected for the French Olympic teams. He earned 72 national caps and scored 41 goals for his country. He played an important in winning the UEFA European Championship for France in1984.

●  Platini also explored the Italian League while representing Juventus. He played 222 matches for Juventus and scored 103 goals. He won two Serie A titles (1983–84 and1985–86), one Coppa Italia (1982–83), one European Cup Winners' Cup (1983–84), one European Super Cup (1984) and one European Cup (1984–85) with Juventus.

●  He was named French Player of the Century by French Football association in 1999. He is the winner of three Ballon d’Or and three Onze d'Or in 1983, 1984 and 1985. He was the top goal scorer of UEFA European Championship in 1984 and he was named as the Player of the Tournament.

●  Platini announced his retirement from professional football in 1987. He became manager of French national team in 1988 for the period of four years. He was elected as the 6th President of UEFA in 2007. He was the only former football player who became the president of UEFA.
