●  Roberto Carlos started his senior football career in 1991 with a Brazilian football club named União São João. Just one year later, Carlos was selected as left back in Brazilian National team.

●  Roberto Carlos played three World Cups for Brazil and won the World Cup 2002. He played very important role in winning two Copa America titles. Under his strong defense Brazil also won FIFA Confederations Cup in 1997.

●  He played 125 matches for his country and scored 11 goals. 11 goals for a left back is an outstanding figure.

●  Roberto Carlos has one of the few players who has played Club football in six different countries (Brazil, Russia, Italy, Spain, Turkey and India). He spent most of his club career in Real Madrid. He played in Real Madrid for 11 years.

●  In Real Madrid he played 512 matches and scored 67 goals. He won four La Liga titles (1996–97, 2000–01, 2002–03, 2006–07), 3 Spanish Super Cups (1997, 2001, 2003), 3 UEFA Champions League titles (1997–98, 1999–2000, 2001–02) and one UEFA Super Cup (2002)

●  He was awarded UEFA Club Defender of the Year in 2002 and 2003. He also won Golden Shoe in 2008. His specialty was his powerful bending free kicks. His free kick goal against France became world famous due to the huge amount of bending of the ball in air. He is surly a living legend of football.
