Stop and go is the most frequently used skill in football. In this skill a player dribbles with the ball in a straight line, stops the ball with his dominant foot and changes the direction of ball with inner of his dominant foot as defender approaches.

Many football players use this technique multiple times in a match. This skill not only confuses a defender, also breaks his momentum. During this skill, a forward pretends to pull back the ball but then dribbles the ball by changing its direction.

Professional players frequently use step and go to beat the defender during a match. There are many ways to perform this skill and you can do multiple variations in this skill.  You should have very flexible body to execute Step and go correctly. You need to focus these key points to practice “step and go” skill.

Stop and go skill is used to break the momentum of the approaching defender.

This skill stupefy the defender and make him slow.

To execute it with perfection, you need to move your shoulder and hips with the ball.

You can do multiple variations with the skill.

You can roll back the ball and then push the ball with front toe or simply can hold the ball for moment from rolling forward.

This is a very commonly used skill on the pitch so a decent defender always prepares for this skill. So you need to execute it in a natural way to beat the defender.
