●  Former French captain Zainedine Zidane started his professional football career in 1989 with Cannes which is a French football club. 17 years old Zidane showed some outstanding football skills and captured the attention of selectors of national team. At the age of 17 he was selected for U17 French national team.

●  After spending three years in Cannes he moved to Bordeaux football club which is also a French club and currently playing in Ligue 1 and in 1996 Zidane was awarded Ligue 1 player of the year due to his outstanding performance.

●  In 1996 Zidane accepted the transfer offer from Juventus. He also made an impact in Seire A league as well. He won two Serie A titles for in 1996-97 and 1997-98, UEFA Super Cup in 1996, one Supercoppa Italia in 1997 and UEFA International Football cup in 1999. He scored 31 goals in 209 matches for Juventus.

●  In 1996 Zidane accepted the transfer offer from Juventus. He also made an impact in Seire A league as well. ●  In 2001, Real Madrid paid €77 million to Juventus for Zidane. It was a perfect move for French man. Zidane had world’s best football players such as David Beckham, Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos with him.

●  He scored 49 goals in 225 appearances for Real Madrid. He played an important role in winning UEFA Champions league in 2001-02 for the club. He also won La Liga title in 2002-03, two Spanish Super Cups (2001 and 2003) and UEFA Super Cup in 2002 with Los Blancos.

●  France won the FIFA World Cup in 1998 under the captaincy of Zidane. He also played a vital role in winning UEFA European Championship for France in 2000. He earned 108 international caps and scored 31 goals for national team.

●  He won Ballon d’Or in 1998 for his outstanding performance in club and country team. He was awarded UEFA Club Midfielder of the year award in 1998. He earned three times FIFA World Player of the year in 1998, 2000 and 2003. He was also named two times the French Player of the Year in 1998 and 2002.

●  Zidane announced his retirement from professional football in 2006. He is currently the manager of Real Madrid.
