Under pressure Argentina team at last has something to celebrate because they have qualified for quarter final of Copa America. Argentina Struggled in the group stage matches of Copa America 2019. They lost match against Colombia by 2 : 0 and could not beat Paraguay. Argentina was at the bottom of the group B and to qualify in the quarter finals, not only they were in need to win their last match against Qatar but they were also depending on the match between Paraguay and Colombia.
Paraguay had four points in the group stage and they just needed one more point to qualify in the quarterfinal but thanks to Colombia, they defeated the Paraguay in their last match which helped Argentina to reach in the knockout stage. Argentina had and early lead in the match. A goal by Lautaro Martinez in the starting minutes of the first half helped Argentina to gain confidence. Lautaro is a great young talent of Argentina. He is just 21 years old and he scored 6 goals in just 13 Appearances for his national side.
Lionel Messi along with Aguero and Lautaro created many chances to score in the first half but they could not convert it in to goal. Argentina also defended well against Qatar and kept the clean sheet in the first half.

In the second half, Argentina was looking to seal the victory by scoring one more goal but Qatar defense was really composed. They perfectly covered Messi and restricted his magical movement on the pitch. Lionel Messi was involved in creating some big chances in the match but he could not show his outstanding performance against Qatar. He missed an easy chance to score a goal in the second half. Leandro Paredes performed a key role in the victory of Argentina against Qatar. He completed 96% of his passes and created 4 key passes in the match.
Fans of Paulo Dybala were missing him in the tournament and Scaloni substituted Lautaro by Dybala in the 76th minute of the second half. It was a perfect substitution by Scaloni. Dybala created a brilliant goal scoring pass to Lionel Messi but Messi could not finish. During 82nd minute of the match, Dybala made a perfect assist to Aguaro which sealed the victory for Argentina.

Colombia also played a significant role in qualification of Argentina in the quarter final of Copa America. They defeated Paraguay with 1 : 0 goal and confirmed the spot for Albiceleste in the knockout stage. Argentina will face Venezuela and Colombia will face Chile in the quarter final on 28th June.
