Zidane is not disappointed after Real Madrid 3 : 7 Atletico Madrid failure

The epic battle of Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid on 27th July at Metlife Stadium New Jersey was ended on defeat of Spanish giant Real Madrid. Zinedine Zidane's boys collapsed badly against their Spanish rival Atletico Madrid. It was the last match of  International Champions Cup for Real Madrid where as Atletico Madrid has one match left.

Losing 7 : 3 against Atletico Madrid raised a big concern and worries for Zidane about Real Madrid future for the coming season.It was second defeat for Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup. Spanish giant lost their first match against Bayern Munich for 3 : 1 goals. Real Madrid could not win their second match of International Champions Cup against Arsenal and match ended up in 2 : 2 goals draw.

Addition of Eden Hazard in the Real Madrid lineup did not put a significant effect on the performance of Real Madrid. The forward lineup of Real Madrid could not impress the boss during the Tournament and Defensive lineup was failed badly. One the other side, brilliant display of teamwork by Atletico Madrid was a good sign for the club. Diego Costa scored brilliant four goals in the match. Goal by Diego Costa in the starting minute of the match put pressure on Real Madrid defense.

A high scoring match is always full of energy and drama. Real Madrid were losing by 6 : 1 during 64th minute of the second half when Carvajal and Costa clashed with each other. Diego Costa and Daniel Carvajal both were sent off during 64th minute of the match. Apart from Diego Costa, Felix, Angel Correa  and Vitolo also scored for Atletico Madrid which was a good sign for the Club.

Zidane admitted in a post match and said "In such a high level competition, we entered the game very badly. Just within eight minutes  we were down 2 :0 and we did not resist. we were lacking everything especially the intensity in the game".

Zidane said "we are preparing for the coming season and we will have to be ready for La-Liga next month. They scored sever goals which should not have happened. They (Atletico Madrid) have been better at everything. There is nothing more to talk about".

Well things are not working for Real Madrid right now and Real Madrid lost some of the easy matches recently. but Zidane is not disappointed and he is hopeful for the upcoming season. He will have to make some big changing before start of La Liga.
