Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his 8th international hat-trick in euro qualifying match against Lithuania on Tuesday’s night. It was his second hat-trick in the Euro qualifying matches for Portugal.

Portugal striker reached his 93 international goals. He is only 18 goals behind the Iranian star Ali Daei who has the record of the highest international goals of 109.

Portugal Striker has been very lucky for his country. Portugal has not lost any match in which Ronaldo scored a goal since 2004.  In last 60 meetings of Portugal in which Ronaldo scored a goal, 55 matches are won by Portugal and 5 are ended in draw.

First Hat-trick against Ireland in FIFA World Cup qualifier Round:

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first international hat-trick against Northern Ireland during FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifying round. It took 106 international matches for Ronaldo to his first hat-trick.

Portugal could not play well during the first half. The score was 2 : 1 and  Ronaldo couldn’t find the net in the first half. Ronaldo scored his first goal of the match during 68th minute of the second half. Just 13 minutes later Portuguese got another chance to score and smash the ball into the net for his second goal. Portugal’s striker completed his hat-trick during the dying minutes of the second half.

Second hat-trick against Sweden in 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off:

Ronaldo scored one goal in the first leg of the qualifying match against Sweden. During the second leg match, Portuguese captain scored a goal during the first half but Sweden took the lead on away goals when Zalatan Ibrahimovic scored two amazing goals against the home team in the start of second half. It was a do-or-die situation for Ronaldo. Portuguese had to score one more goal if he wanted to play FIFA World Cup2014. 34 years old Cristiano's ambition was clear, he was struggling hard to get into the net. Ronaldo not only succeeded to score the required goal but also added up the lead with a classic hat-trick. It was his second international hat-trick.


Third hat-trick against Armenia during Euro qualifiers 2016:

During 2016 Euro qualifying match against Armenia, Ronaldo scored his third hat-trick. During the first half of the match, Armenia took lead of one goal when Pizzelli scored a free kick goal.

During the start of second half, Ronaldo scored a brilliant goal and equalized the lead of Armenia. Within 15 minutes of the second half, Ronaldo scored two more goals to complete his third hat-trick.

During 62nd minute of the match, Tiago got the red card and Portuguese were down to ten men but they successfully defended the lead.

Fourth hat-trick against Andorra during 2018 World Cup qualifiers:

Portugal destroyed Andorra during the qualifying match for the FIFA World Cup 2018 by 6 : 0 goals. It was a home match for Portugal and players took full advantage of audience support.

Ronaldo scored brilliant Hat-trick in the match. He also scored his fourth goal in the match. It was the first time Ronaldo scored four goals for his country.

Fifth Hat-trick against Faroe Islands during FIFA World Cup qualifiers 2018:

Ronaldo scored his fifth hat-trick against Faroe Islands during the qualifying round of FIFA World Cup 2018. It was 5 : 1 goals victory for Portugal.

Juventus striker scored his first two goals during the first half and scored third goal during the 65th minute of the second half.

Sixth Hat-trick against Spain in FIFA World Cup 2018:

On number six is the most valuable hat-trick of Ronaldo during the group stage of the FIFA World CUP 2018 against Spain. Ronaldo scored in the starting minute of the first half which gave an early lead to Portugal.

Few minutes later Diego Costa scored the equalizer for Spain but Ronaldo restored the lead in the last minute of the first half.

Two consecutive goals from Spain made the score 3 : 2 and it looked like Spain will be the winner of the match. But Ronaldo did not lose hope and got a chance to take a free kick within 25 year. Portugal captain converted that free-kick into goal. That was Ronaldo’s first hat-trick of the FIFA world Cup.

Seventh hat-trick against Switzerland during UEFA Nations League:

Ronaldo scored his seventh international hat-trick during UEFA Nations League against Switzerland. Portugal won the match by 3 :1 goals.

All three goals of Portugal were scored by Ronaldo. He played outstanding football during the whole tournament. Due to the consistent performance of Ronaldo, Portugal won the first UEFA Nations league.


Eighth hat-trick against Lithuania during Euro qualifiers:

Ronaldo scored one goal in the first match of Euro qualifying round against Serbia and he unleashed his scoring ability in the match against Lithuania by scoring four goals.

Ronaldo scored his first goal in the 7th minute of the first half. Andriuškevičius scored the only goal from Lithuania. First half was ended in 1 : 1 draw. Portuguese captain scored three more goals in the second half. It was second time that Ronaldo scored four goals in an international match.

Another interesting fact about Ronaldo’s hat-tricks is that Ronaldo could not score a hat-trick in his first 105 matches and in last 55 matches he scored 8 hat-tricks. Ronaldo also has record of scoring hat-tricks in 12 different countries.
