The qualifying round of UEFA Euro 2020 has been completed and we have our qualified teams ready to compete in world’s second major tournament in the world of football. 24 national teams from Europe participate in Euro Championship. The host team qualifies automatically and 23 teams have to compete in the qualification round.
Germany and Spain both have won the Euro Championship three times. France is second in the list with two Championship titles. Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo and French legend Micheal Platini are the top goal scorers in the European Championship matches. Both have scored 9 goals in the competition.
The draw for Euro 20202 for the 24 qualified teams, took place in Bucharest (Romania) on 30th November and we got some amazing fixture in the tournament. In the draw the qualified teams were divided into four pots. Pot 1 had the top six teams from the qualifying round.
Teams in Pot 2 were ranked second in the qualifying round and pot 3 was consisted of third ranked teams. Wales and Finland were included in pot 4 with four winners of play-off round which will be held in March 2020. Below are the lists of teams included in each pot.

After the draw, 24 qualified teams are divided into six groups and each group has four teams. All the groups are very competitive and we will see some outstanding fixtures in future. Group F is very interesting which contain current World Cup 2018 winner France, Euro Championship 2016 winner Portugal and Germany which is the team with most Euro Championship wins. Play-off round will round will start in March 2020 and there are four paths for the play-off round. In Path A, there are two matches Iceland vs Romania and Bulgaria vs Hungary. In Path B contains two matches Bosnia and Herzegovina vs North Ireland and Slovakia vs Republic of Ireland. Path C also contains two matches Scotland vs Israel and Norway vs Serbia. Similarly Path D contains two matches Georgia vs Belarus and North Macedonia vs Kosovo.

Winner of path A will be included in Group F, winner of path B will be added in group E, winner from path C will be merged in group D and winner form path D will become part of group C. Hope we will watch amazing tournament in 2020.
