First time in the history Real Madrid finished a match with 0 shots on target

Well that's true! the first time in the history, Real Madrid finished a match with no shots on target. The start of UEFA Champions league has been horrible for the Spanish giants. Real Madrid lost their opening match of UCL against PSG with 3 goals deficit.

Winner of 33 LaLiga titles, 13 UEFA Champions league titles and 19 Copa del Rey titles, could not impress the fans in the first match of group stage of UCL. Real Madrid looked clueless and out of form during the whole match.

In the starting minutes of the first half, Real Madrid was struggling to keep the possession and on the other side the home team looked much more confident. During the 14th minute of the first half, Di Maria got an opportunity to score. Bernat did a cutback pass to the Argentinean and  that was an easy ball to score. Di Maria converted the amazing pass into a superb goal. French giants got the early lead in the match.

Just 19 minute after the first goal, Di Maria scored another amazing goal by dipping the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal post. That was a fine assist from Gueye.

Second goal from the home side in the first half, broke the opposition. Real Madrid team became under pressure. Gareth Bale was the only player from Los Blancos who show some class and gave his 100% effort to bring Real Madrid back into the game.

It was not Neymar, nor Mbappe nor Cavani, it was Di Maria who showed inspiring performance for PSG and gave his club two goals lead in the first half over the Spanish giants. Spanish media also reported that it is the first time in 578 games that Real Madrid could not record even a single shot on target.

Madrid midfielder Casemiro said in a post-match interview, “They (PSG) are very strong, they have great players but there are no excuses. We have not played well but there is still time for comeback”.

That is the alarming situation for Madrid that even having Eden Hazar, Benzima and Bale in the forward lineup, they could not show a satisfactory performance. Real Madrid also showed an average performance in La Liga so far, they won two matches in their four starting game of the season.

One positive thing for the Madrid is that they have Zainudin Zidane as a coach and he must be having a plan B for the Los Blancos.
